
The Lebanese host site was created in 2020 by the teams at 148 Agence Collective: a very simple site for hoteliers to accept online bookings via a Google calendar. In 2024, Orphée asks us to consider a redesign. Mathias, our technical director, will think of a way to add a channel manager, the online booking professional tool that was missing for hoteliers, while preserving the booking system with Google calendars on the hoteliers' side: indeed, most of them are small establishments with only a few rooms, and one Google calendar per room works perfectly for their needs. On the development side, this architecture presents a problem in terms of the number of requests, which are made by calendar... Not ideal for obtaining a quick response!
In 2024, promoting tourism in Lebanon, a country in crisis for decades, is nothing short of utopia! Yet, this is precisely what we have undertaken at the initiative of Orphée, a Franco-Lebanese lawyer, to whom Agency 148 has been providing its expertise in web design, UI and UX, and development for several years.

We are opting for the installation of a plugin on our WordPress foundation, Beds24, which offers powerful features to hoteliers to manage the complete logistics of their business. Today, only a fraction of its capabilities is active, but upgrades will be easy. We are also optimizing hosting and security by implementing Cloudflare CDN, and we are simplifying currencies and languages to provide the best visiting conditions for users of the platform.
Finally, we are expanding the “Experience” section, a blog about the Lebanese art of living. This is actually where the site visit experience begins: a dive into a picture book that takes us through the culture and history of a country that has long been intimately linked to France. At the Agency, in a completely spontaneous manner, it was not the time sold but the heart that guided our choices: the entire project team invested individually to seek the best solutions, the most beautiful designs to bring this utopia of a lover of his country in crisis to life.
In conclusion, after this redesign, the Lebanese host site has become an even more practical tool for hoteliers, and for the curious and travelers, a true travel magazine, to dream of a wonderful country and above all, not to forget it.
