As part of the revamp of their brand identity, Meogroup and its two subsidiaries, Meo and Masai, wanted to evolve their digital ecosystem in order to better showcase their new positioning. The challenge is not merely to develop three new websites, but to build a shared technical foundation capable of meeting the specific needs of each brand.
Our mission? To support the teams throughout the project, from deciding on the technical architecture right through to the launch of the three platforms, whilst ensuring coordination between the various departments involved: creative direction, SEO and development.
The first challenge was to devise an architecture capable of hosting three websites with distinct visual identities, whilst minimising the need for bespoke development.
We recommended setting up a WordPress multisite, enabling a large proportion of the development work to be shared whilst allowing each brand complete creative and editorial freedom. This approach facilitates maintenance, simplifies future updates and ensures technical consistency across the group.
We also supported the client in selecting technologies, defining the application architecture and organising the development, testing and production environments.
The visual identity of the three brands was designed by the creative team. Our role is to faithfully translate this artistic direction into the development process, whilst adhering to every detail of the mock-ups.
We have designed a library of blocks, some of which are shared across the three sites, to simplify the administration of the platforms and their future development. The shared components coexist with blocks specific to each brand, enabling us to maintain strong visual identities whilst benefiting from a shared technical foundation.
This approach simplifies content management whilst faithfully adhering to the creative vision envisaged by the design team.
With just three months to design, develop, test and launch three websites, the project’s success depended as much on organisation as on technical expertise.
We coordinated between the creative and marketing teams for designs and SEO and the various technical partners to ensure the project remained consistent at every stage.
This coordination enabled us to anticipate constraints, streamline approval processes and maintain a steady pace of production right up to the websites going live.
