For more than 20 years, the TLF Union has been the professional organization representing the entire logistics and transportation chain in France.
It represents, promotes, and defends the interests of the profession before the public authorities and national, European, and local institutions through its numerous delegations.
We had already had the opportunity to collaborate in the past: therefore, when the TLF Union is considering a complete overhaul of its website, which is already a few years old, it naturally turns to 148 Agence Collective. The goal: to give a fresh look to the logistics sector, particularly through a smoother dissemination of information to the (numerous) targets of the organization.
"Given the scope of the project, as it is indeed a site of considerable size, we were able to deploy all the trades of the agency, from consulting to creation and development: we all worked as a team, taking into account the needs of the client!"
Naïma, Project Manager, 148 Agence Collective
The targets of the TLF Union are numerous: primarily, the member companies, which vary in size, future members, and finally, the general public, such as journalists or individuals interested in the sector. The problem is that the initial site's categorization does not provide them with an adequate user journey, making information dissemination confusing. That is why we are focusing, in the first step of our work, on a thorough reflection on the user journey, particularly through UX workshops.
"The work on user experience is truly at the heart of the project: through the workshops, we were really able to understand the needs and expectations of each group and how to address them through the site."
Naïma, Project Manager, 148 Collective Agency
We are organizing a total of 4 workshops with the different target groups of the site: one with representatives from large companies, one with representatives from small businesses, one with members of the general public, and finally, one with members of the TLF Union. Based on this groundwork, we propose a site structure suited to their needs.
The vast majority of the new site is accessible without restriction, in order to understand who the TLF Union is, the CSR commitments it promotes, as well as the various activities related to the professions: at this level, it acts as a showcase enticing targets to affiliate with the Union to access its various services and resources.
"To create consistency on a site of this size, one must also work on the design, for example by creating graphic tips to help the user navigate. We have implemented a whole bunch of navigation facilitators to make their life easier."
Victoria, Artistic Director, 148 Agence Collective
In terms of graphics, we indeed envision a whole set of elements designed to make the site dynamic and user-friendly: a pop-in that can open upon arrival on the site in case of urgent information to communicate, a search bar, as well as a notification system at the bottom right of the screen allowing the latest content uploaded to be highlighted for the user.
If the general public can access the vast majority of information available on the site, we also envision areas exclusively reserved for member companies of the TLF Union.
"For the 'Members' space, we didn't want something off-the-shelf, as it can be quite easily found in the form of a plug-in. We coded everything ourselves to ensure the security and sustainability of this part of the site."
Bastien, full-stack developer, 148 Agence Collective
The custom and secure member space is thus built from scratch: presenting itself in the form of a dashboard, it allows, after authentication, access to additional information not available on the public site.
In the same way, some news posted on the site is designed according to a freemium system, similar to what can be seen on many media sites: the beginning of the article is accessible to all, but login to the members' space is necessary to access the full content.
The Collective Agency brings together many talents who can respond to strategic and/or operational communication projects, targeted or multi-channel, short and long term. Do not hesitate to make an appointment with us to discuss and receive a quote for your project!
