B Impact Assessment: A CSR Management Tool

B Corp certification is granted following an audit tailored to the company’s market, industry, and size. It’s valid for three years. The audit, run by B Lab — the nonprofit behind B Corp — is public and free of charge. It evaluates a business based on five categories: Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customers. What makes B Corp unique is how it values impact-driven business models — ones designed from the ground up to generate meaningful, positive change.
