Rethinking a Brand and Redesigning a Multi-site Digital Ecosystem — With an Eco-conscious Approach

EPSA is an international consulting group specializing in sustainable performance, with cross-sector expertise. Amid rapid growth, the company set out to clarify its positioning and unify its brand messaging, modernize its image to reflect its commitments, and most importantly, overhaul a fragmented, unclear, and energy-intensive digital ecosystem.

The redesign needed to address brand identity, visibility, and digital sustainability. EPSA chose to anchor its new digital framework in an eco-design approach. This mission was accomplished by the 148 Collective Agency and was structured around four strategic pillars.

“This redesign was a true transformation project. More than just a website, it's a strategic, responsible tool that supports the group’s hypergrowth.”

Marion, Digital Strategy Director, 148 Collective Agency

Positioning

We structured a unified communication platform capable of reflecting both the breadth of EPSA’s expertise and their shared vision: sustainable performance.

Designing a Scalable Multi-site Platform

We envisioned a single digital foundation that could:

  • bring together various business units in a coherent ecosystem,
  • provide editorial autonomy to each entity,
  • and optimize the user experience across all journeys (clients, talents, partners).

This multi-site CMS architecture is built on a modular design system, ensuring consistency, scalability, and maintainability.

Eco-design Approach

EPSA sought to align its CSR commitments with its digital footprint. From the earliest design and development stages, we integrated eco-design principles.

In a determined effort to combine performance and digital sobriety, we redesigned the interface to be cleaner and lighter, limiting the use of heavy visual elements. Through advanced media optimization (adaptive formats, file weight reduction, lazy loading) and streamlined code with minimized scripts, we significantly boosted the site’s efficiency.

The results speak for themselves:

  • EcoIndex score improved from D to B
  • 35% reduction in average page weight
  • 40% faster loading time

These tangible outcomes demonstrate a blend of performance, eco-responsibility, and digital excellence.

Our Key Deliverables

  • UX/UI, SEO, and environmental footprint audit
  • Co-creation workshops with EPSA teams
  • Brand platform development
  • Scalable, documented design system
  • Development of the main website and country-specific sites
  • Team training on editorial content, accessibility, and eco-design

This project is far more than a redesign — it marks a strategic transformation for EPSA. By combining brand vision, technological excellence, and digital sustainability, the 148 Collective Agency laid the foundation for a future-proof digital ecosystem that matches the ambitions of a hyper-growth group: agile, coherent, and responsible.
