
The Alliance for Forest Preservation is a group of responsible industrialists and distributors who implement actions to combat deforestation. All actions of the collective are subject to the critical scrutiny of environmental and social NGOs. The missions of the APF are to inform about the stakes of deforestation, to serve as a link between private actors and stakeholders, and to help each member fulfill their commitments. This project was launched in May 2018 and required a logo as well as a website in order to communicate its missions and values.
The logo designed by agency 148 corresponds to the accepted codes in the field of environmental preservation (the presence of plant elements, an animal, all in green). The design of the site, on the other hand, has freed itself from these codes by proposing a black and red color scheme. This graphic choice allows the Alliance for Forest Preservation to communicate in an unprecedented way and enables it to stand out in this particularly competitive sector.
The concept implemented is based on an experiential navigation, immersing the user in the heart of the forests to be preserved around the world. Thus, as they navigate, large visuals immerse them in exotic landscapes, encouraging adherence to the values of the Alliance. This approach is supported by a unique reading rhythm created by the alternation of horizontal and vertical areas. The whole is energized by reveal animations that create a dissonance highlighting the more important contents.
The geographical distance of endangered forests leads to a relative indifference from a Western audience more concerned with local issues. We have managed to address this problem by naming each affected forest and associating it with a visual and precise GPS coordinates.
The teams at agency 148 have felt particularly involved in this project to protect forest spaces around the world. Indeed, preserving the environment and ecological values are at the heart of 148 Agency Collective's DNA.
