E3S is a research and innovation program for the city of tomorrow. Its approach is unique. It combines the expertise of researchers from Gustave Eiffel University with that of collaborators from the Eiffage group. Together, they can confront their ideas with real-world situations and directly implement certain innovations on one of Eiffage's construction sites: the LaVallée site in Châtenay-Malabry (92), which rehabilitates the 20 hectares of the former École Centrale. Gustave Eiffel University and Eiffage want to promote this wonderful project, a source of innovation for the city. They are reaching out to 148 Agence Collective for the creation of a dedicated website for E3S.
"The team at 148 Agence Collective is very professional and thorough while working in a relaxed, smiling, and always positive mindset."
François, Project Manager for Sustainable Innovations and coordinator of the E3S project at Eiffage
The client has ambition for their program. They also have ambition for their website. But they don’t know where to start. Margot, our project manager, therefore offers them a comprehensive package in which we support them with both the development of the site, the creation of a visual identity, and the writing of the content. For the graphic universe, we start as always by thoroughly studying the project, its positioning, and its target audience. The graphic universe must immediately convey the R&D, scientific dimension of the project. Léo, in charge of the site creation, envisions two geometric shapes with four sides, scalable infinitely. This idea of Swiss Design, a graphic trend that uses geometric grids in the manner of a mathematical formula, allows for the creation of a strong visual identity while being playful. Since the E3S program consists of 8 research workshops, Léo creates 8 distinct universes, from which one can access, like in a bookstore, the different deliverables (reports, creations) from the workshops. Thanks to color effects and the bubbles that open, the visitor enjoys the site and is guided to discover the entirety of this bookstore. Finally, for the "Views of the City" section, to establish a visual distinction from the rest of the site, we propose to call upon illustrators. For each article, drawing on their personal graphic universe, they create a unique illustration, reminiscent of an illustration for a magazine like XXI.
