A new approach to private finance

It's the story of a guy who knows a guy… When Maxime leaves his position to open his own private wealth management firm, he is looking for an agency to support him in his project. We already knew each other from collaborating with his previous employer, and we had two advantages: he liked our work and we are B Corp certified.

In the world of finance, Maxime and his associates' project is almost a crazy bet: to establish a mission-driven private wealth management structure, meaning with ESG commitments included in the company's bylaws and regularly audited by an external organization. He would also like the company to join the B Corp community, of which 148 Agence Collective has been a part since 2017.

From a name, create a universe

From the very first meeting, Maxime shares with us the name that he and his associates have thought of: Equinoxe. Isn’t it too common? Too vague? Will we be able to position ourselves in SEO?... Our artistic director, Lisa, already has a thousand ideas in mind, as this idea is a godsend for a creative mind. Sabine, our strategic planner, is intrigued by the challenge of making “finance” and “mission” rhyme (because it doesn’t rhyme right off the bat, precisely!). Green finance is indeed on the rise, but many companies are trying to ride the wave, potentially undermining those who have genuine ambitions...


Sabine will translate the ambitions of Equinoxe into a mission statement that reflects its co-founders: “Generate long-term performance, while aligning its investments with the Paris Agreement on climate.” Independent, Engaging, Factual, Empathetic: the brand attributes highlight both the financial and human aspects of Equinoxe's private management.

For identity, Lisa draws on the definition of an equinox to interlock the two letters “e” that open and close the noun (as shown in our presentation board below), and plays with a gradient light effect. The Bitter typography is chosen for its chic look and good readability, particularly on screens.

A simple and beautiful site

148 Agence Collective produces several supports, including a showcase site. Pauline, in charge of project management, assists Equinoxe in the content writing, Victoria creates mock-ups, then Mathias and his team tackle development. It’s quite simple, as we use the Wordpress blocks we have developed for our clients: they are lightweight, easy to manage, and, among the forty blocks in our catalog, adapt to all needs.
